Perfect setting
You can't find a nicer setting. This cottage overlooks Indian Lake, part of the Rideau system. Large enough to be endless fun but small enough to avoid rough water, this lake is connected to dozens of others through the lock system.
It's all about family
There's something for everyone. This is the perfect place for you and your family to gather and unwind. Look for deer, go fishing, go swimming, do watersports, head to "jumping rock," and more!
Huge deck
Our deck is made of the highest quality material. We've used glass rails to make sure your view of the lake is perfect every time. Enjoy the BBQ and small fire pit. You've never seen the stars like this!
Great dock
The large dock will fit everyone comfortably and features a raised seating area and gazebo. It has stairs right into the water and tie-ups for your boat. Catch nice big bass right from the dock!
So much to do!
This is no "cabin in the woods." You've always got something to do! Visit jumping rock, get an ice cream, take a trip through the locks, hit the sand bar, or head to the famous Opinicon Resort for dinner and drinks.
Memories
We've got internet, yes, but this is the perfect time to unplug and unwind. Sticky s'mores, late night games, photo ops galore, and the most beautiful lake Ontario has to offer. All for you!
Well-appointed
We've taken great care to update our cottage, which includes newer flooring (no carpet), cottage-modern furniture, comfortable beds and linens, and a very well-stocked kitchen in terms of cookware, glassware, etc.
Nature is great.
You're all but guaranteed to see deer on your way through the winding cottage roads. You can choose to explore nature to your heart's desire, or distance yourself a little in our cottage that feels more like a home. There's something for everyone!
Sunsets
Venture out onto the water and take-in the most spectacular sunsets you will ever see! Wake up in the morning to the sound of loons and watch mist rising from the lake as you enjoy your coffee.

New photos will be available in April. This is the perfect family cottage on a little slice of heaven.
This beautiful, open cottage overlooks Indian Lake, part of the Rideau system. Enjoy a spacious, family-oriented cottage that boasts comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, a large dining table overlooking the water, two family rooms (one with a 70-inch TV), and half an acre of land. Take the staircase down to the large dock, which features steps into the water, seating areas, a 10 x 12-foot gazebo, a canoe, kayaks, and tie-ups if you bring your boat.
On the lake you can enjoy the best fishing Ontario has to offer, a trip to the Opinicon Resort for a nice meal (or drinks, or ice cream), "jumping rock," bird watching, watersports (rentals available), or take a trip up or down the Rideau through the extensive lock system.
The cottage is available May through October for families only (no parties).
Guests are required to read and sign a rental agreement in order to finalize bookings.
Cancellation policy is 97% refund with at least 60 days notice (the deduction is for payment processing fees which we must pay either way), 50% refund with 30 days notice, and no refund with less than 30 days notice.
