Cancellations for reservations booked on 3rd party sites (eg. Airbnb, VRBO, etc) are in accordance with the stated policy at the time of booking.

Cancellations for reservations booked on KLMJsunshine.com:

a) 100% refund for cancellations 60 days or more from check-in, less payment processing charges (approx 3%).

b) No refunds inside of 60 days. 

c) We also offer a "best effort" policy for instances where guests need to cancel with less than 60 days notice and where they don't have alternate cancellation coverage.  In these cases, we will credit amounts that we were successfully able to re-book an alternate guest; this amount will be credited towards a future stay provided a new reservation is made within 60 days for travel dates within a one year window. 

d) We strongly encourage all guests to purchase 3rd party cancellation insurance, as we cannot issue refunds outside of our posted cancellation policy.  We are a small business and guests should not rely on flexibility on this policy is lieu of purchasing proper cancellation insurance.

Credits and promotional offers​

Credits and promotional offers expire one year after they are issued and are not combinable with other offers or discounts.  Credit must be applied to bookings of 7 nights or more.  Once a credit is applied it becomes null and void, including in cases where the booking changes or gets cancelled (they are not able to be used to re-book dates).  Credits and promotional offers must be applied at booking through the KLMJsunshine.com website and may not be applied retroactively.  Credits and promotional offers are valid for direct booking only and may not be applied to Airbnb, VRBO, and other 3rd party bookings.  No cash value and must only be used by the person who was issued the credit.

Gift cards (purchaed)

Gift cards are non-refundable and have no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash or other goods.

Gift cards are only redeemable at KLMJsunshine.com and not on 3rd party sites (like Airbnb).

Regular rental rules apply, such as variable minimum night stays.

Purchasers and Recipients of gift cards must keep their codes private.  Anyone who has the code can use it and, once it has been used, it cannot be used again. 

Specific terms and conditions related to property rental apply.  Guests are required to agree-to and sign a rental agreement prior to their stay.  

There are no refunds provided for gift cards. 

Gift cards should be redeemed within one year of purchase.  Dates for travel can be more than one year away, but the reservation itself should be made within one year.  

Reservations made that include gift cards, if cancelled or changed, invalidate the gift card and its value unless directly coordinated with, and approved by, KLMJ Sunshine in advance.
